Currently available to the 2005 Signature model, the Bose 38 Sound System is located curbside, above the front passenger seat. Open the cabinet door to view the system, which is stacked starting with the Bose 38 on the bottom, Sharp receiver in the middle, and the satellite receiver on top.
Power requirements to operate the Bose 38 Sound System are 120 Volts AC. Insure that the house battery cutoff switch is in the On position. Low battery power will usually interfere with proper performance. For best results, plug the motor home into shore power or run the generator while using the Bose 38 Sound System.
Access the controls by lifting the clear plastic cover on the left hand side of the Boxe 38. Nine buttons comprise the display. To activate the system, push the on/off button one time. The screen will light up and letters will appear on the display. To select a function, press the Source button until the screen reads the preferred mode.
How to operate the FM radio feature is a frequently asked question surrounding the Bose 38 Sound System. Press Source until the screen displays FM. To select a station, press the arrow buttons located on the hand held remote. Confirm that batteries in the remote are charged for proper operation.
The Bose 38 Sound System includes a subwoofer that is generally located in a lower galley cabinet, or under the counter next to the dinette table. A GFCI located in the bedroom control panel sends electrical power to the subwoofer. If this GFCI has tripped, no sound will emit from the system. In the event that the Bose 38 Sound System displays information on the screen, but fails to transmit sound from the system, inspect the Kitchen GFCI.
To run the DVD feature of the Bose 38 system, push the open/close button on the display one time and wait for the tray to slide out. Insert the DVD on the tray and push the open/close button again to close the tray.
The front television may not operate until the Sharp receiver is turned on. The light on the face of the receiver is red when the system if off, and will illuminate green once the receiver is powered. Lower the TV lift by pressing and holding the TV button until the component is fully extended in the down position. To operate the system without using the remotes, use the switches located on the top right side of the television. Located on the far left is a Volume button. Moving to the right is a Channel button. Next to that are two small and round Input buttons, the first used to view the DVD quick reference guide and the second button to shut the system off. The final button located on the far right will power the television on and off.
Clean the system using a soft dry cloth. Do not store cargo around components that may restrict airflow.
